Brief Note:
The need of a Good CBSE School in Valasaravakkam, the fast growing area of Chennai was fulfilled by late Dr. P. N. Parameswaran, an Engineering Project Consultant and his wife Ms. R. Jeyalekshmy, an Educationist. In 1989, Devi Academy School had a humble beginning with 250 students and 20 staff members and was affiliated to the CBSE, Delhi. Now it has become a landmark in the area with 1800 students and 85 staff members. The school sent its first batch of students for Std. X (AISSE) in the year 1992 and achieved Cent Percent result. From then on the school has been producing Cent Percent Pass results in the Public examinations continuously with high averages in all subjects.
The School is an English Medium School and Co-educational. It is staffed by highly qualified, competent, dedicated and experienced teachers.
The School was upgraded to Senior Secondary (XII) in the year 1994. The school imparts Quality Education and moulds the all-round personality of children. The school emphasizes value centered education and practices innovative and progressive methodologies.
